ProPeer established in Utah as Professional Peer Review, Inc.
Founded in 1992, ProPeer is one of the nation’s oldest and most premier providers of independent specialty clinical reviews offering a comprehensive portfolio of solutions to insurance carriers, third party administrators, self-insured programs, hospitals, government organizations, and legal entities.
ProPeer is uniquely positioned in the industry space between the patient, treating provider, and payer. With over 30 years of experience, ProPeer understands the need for a clinical review partner who has both quality and the healthcare consumers’ well-being as its service core. In 2013, ProPeer became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nexus, joining in the vision of creating a “nexus” between exceptional reviews and superior outcomes.
ProPeer was one of the first IROs to obtain accreditation from URAC, the leader in healthcare accreditation, which allowed ProPeer the ability to display its commitment to quality and excellence. Years later, ProPeer, along with 9 other review organizations, formed the National Association of Independent Review Organizations (NAIRO) in 2002 to aid in establishing a collective voice for IROs striving to serve patients, providers, and payers through clinical review.
ProPeer’s industry leading system ensures the delivery of the highest and timely outcomes.
